“I’d probably be six feet under if I hadn’t had my guns,” said Dorothy Resnick after a pair of intruders invaded her Kooskia, Idaho, home. The 71-year-old widow locked herself in a bedroom as the criminals ransacked the house, and kept them at bay by working the action of a pump shotgun and threatening to shoot. “I’m never going to give up my guns,” Resnick said, “and the government is not going to take them away from me.”
