Weapons Wish List: Ruger Single Six .17 HMR
04.15.04This new .17 HMR shell is the hottest thing on the market currently. It has come to be known as ‘the varmint cartridge’. With the caliber being smaller than a .22, but it comes packing more powder. Its pointed head allows it 3 times the speed and distance. So, it has the power to knock out a coyote, without damaging the pelt. Excellent.

# April 16th, 2004 at 1:58 amWhy would you want such a weenie gun??? Just because they are all the rage??? Well snorting crack rocks up your nose is pretty popular… so are raves… why don’t you do that, Mr. Bandwagon.
# April 16th, 2004 at 4:22 pmAnd about the crack rocks up the nose….I prefer mine under my eyelid.

# May 6th, 2004 at 1:27 pmYea leave the varmint pumpin to those animal lovers in PETA.
# April 11th, 2005 at 6:21 amI now have deep respect for your taste. Personal opinion says there is no greater Ruger.
# May 27th, 2005 at 8:14 amTHINKING ABOUT BUYING A SINGLE ACTION RUGER 22. ARE THEY GOOD GUNS LIKE THE STAINLESS 6 AND HALF INCH BBL.
# November 29th, 2005 at 6:10 pmI own two, a 5.5″ and a 6.5″, but mine are .22 and .22 mag. As far as the caliber is concerned, I prefer the 22 mag over the 17, but to each his own. You can’t go wrong with any Ruger single six. They are among the most accurate, safe and dependable pistols ever made. If I could only own one gun, it would be my 5.5″ Single Six. And no, I don’t work for Ruger.
# March 29th, 2006 at 11:39 amI just realized this pistol has the same caliber as my BB gun, I have to say thats kinda pathetic.
