06.26.04When two men broke into a storage center in Llano, Calif., they were confronted by the owner of the property. The owner, who was staying there after a rash of burglaries, fired his gun when one of the intruders brandished a weapon. The armed burglar was pronounced dead on the scene, and his accomplice was held for police, who said the property owner’s actions appeared to be justified.
