Weapons Wish List: Medusa Model 47
09.10.04Krunk brought to my attention this fancy revolver, made by a feller from NASA. It’s called the Medusa 47, and it is said to fire and extract 25 different cartridges in the .38/9mm/.357 ammunition range. That sounds like a mighty handy revolver to carry around. You have your cheaper, smaller rounds for the range, and your more expensive, bigger rounds for takin’ out the garbage.

Weight: 2.38 lbs (1.08 kg) empty.
Caliber: Can chamber, fire, and extract almsot any cartridges in the .38/9mm/.357 ammunition range (Does not include .357 Sig).
Barrel Length: 2.5 inch (6.4 cm), 3 inches (7.6 cm), 4 inch (10.2 cm), 5 inch (12.7 cm), or 6 inch (15.2 cm).
Action: Double Action.
Range: 150 ft (45.7 m).
Cylinder: 6 rounds .
Cost: $ 899.
Made in: America.
Special: Very accurate, Unusual Revolver that can use multiple calibers.

I want one, too.

38/9mm/357………Smaller caliber for the range, bigger caliber for the garbage? Those are all the same caliber, thats why it can fire them all! It’s the powder charge that’s different cool guy!
# April 22nd, 2005 at 8:25 pmthanks for the correction, champ.
# April 22nd, 2005 at 9:05 pmCasings, tapers, rims, headspace, bullet diameter, lengths, weights are all different. Check Saami specs. While I only found 35 different rounds it would shoot, the Germans found 117. Strongest and most accurate hand gun ever made. Shoot your Colt underwater!

# December 7th, 2006 at 2:03 pmYou have to speak better American, before you can own a firearm. It’s federal law.
# December 7th, 2006 at 7:16 pmThink I’ll stick too Ruger. Can’t beat a Blackhawk### Heck –what about a Redhawk? (I just don’t see the magic round in Medusa) The magic gun=Ruger.
# December 7th, 2006 at 9:43 pmBetter… SP101!
# December 7th, 2006 at 9:44 pmYea, those are pretty nice. I like the GP-100’s better. I love the cherry wood grips.
# December 8th, 2006 at 10:04 amStrange though, that multi purpose cylinder. Medusa must be a wierd one.
# December 9th, 2006 at 7:29 pmNever got too shoot a GP, but I did a Dan Wesson 357 w/ multiple barrel case kit. But I’d love to get my hands on a GP100 one day. Southerners love Ruger.
