Fallujah Watchdogs
11.16.04Excellent. This former marine has been keeping the tabs on our boys in Fallujah. Read this sweet article, then check out his site.
Marines are keenly aware of war’s human toll. The sergeant had no idea what that young Iraqi was thinking. He didn’t like killing someone’s son. But Marines don’t wear their emotions on their sleeves, and they have zero sympathy for the jihadists trying to kill them. If America needs a hard job done, the Marines will do it, and they won’t lose their humanity in the process or any sleep over pulling the trigger. Yes, they are “the world’s most lethal killing machine.” That’s what America needs in battle.

It drives me nuts how they make a big deal about it being in a mosque. Its not like they’re holding services and praying in there, its simply a fortress on a battlefield. One more sample of a loaded term used by the media to undermine our military and country.
Why is it that the media goes to great lenthes to not condemn murders, rapists and other criminals in our country (always referring to them as “the accused”) but when its a soldier in our military they practically want to send the guy to the gallows before any investigation.
# November 17th, 2004 at 8:51 amYea, it’s because the left hates our military over all. It doesn’t seem to make much sense, but then again, these last 40 years or so, the left never has made too much sense.

Okay, fair enough. But let’s play a thought experiment. Let’s imagine that your mariane and his reporter were captured in a part of the city occupied by insurgents. (This is not a merely hypothetical situation. Think Black Hawk down) How would you like it if a bunch of insurgents entered a church where your marine had surrendered and was sheltering and gunned him down in cold blood in front of a camera operator, who then sold his tape to Al Jazeera?
# November 17th, 2004 at 7:54 pmAlright Bryce, this is where you don’t make any sense.

You liberals are as blind as you are stupid. What in the hell makes you think they wouldent do that in a hot second!?! Are you freaking insane???
Remember 9-11, by chance?! Remember all of the slaughtered and beheaded civilian contractors???
You are completely illogical, and frankly, not worth even arguing with. A child could produce a better ‘thought expirament’ than a liberal with wooden eyes.
# November 18th, 2004 at 2:56 amFirst of all this though experiment sucks because you have switched the situation in your favor. You say:
This is absurd because the iraqi had not surrendered, the marines had supposedly fought these insurgents for over an hour and thought that they were dead. They walked in there thinking that the insurgents were dead but found out that one of them was faking it. After I found out that this was the same tactic they used to blow our marines up before, your damn right I would blow his brains out all over the floor. This is war, not some game with chivalrous rules.
# November 18th, 2004 at 8:08 amInstead of giving the terrorist the benefit of the doubt why don’t you give the American soldier the benefit of the doubt. Put yourself in the soldiers shoes. You’ve been fighting these rat bastards 24/7 dealing with their filthy tactics (faking surrenders, faking death, traping bodies, acting like a peaceful civilians and shooting you in the back). Your walking though this mosque and come across some wounded iraqi’s and you see one who appears to be faking it. If you were in that situation would you give the terrorist the benefit of the doubt and risk losing your life?
