Too bad for political correctness, as well as the swedes lack of toughness.
Sweden is one of the worst hit countries in Europe of Muslim immigration and Political Correctness. Now, the police themselves have publicly admitted that they no longer control one of Sweden’s major cities.
The police now publicly admit what many Scandinavians have known for a long time: They no longer control the situation in the nations’s third largest city. It is effectively ruled by violent gangs of Muslim immigrants…
…Ambulance personnel are attacked by stones or weapons, and refuse to help anybody in the area without police escort. The immigrants also spit at them when they come to help. Recently, an Albanian youth was stabbed by an Arab, and was left bleeding to death on the ground while the ambulance waited for the police to arrive.
This is what happens when you accept this multiculteralism ideal.
The idea is this: If you come to my country, you will adopt my country as your own. If not, then git the hell out.
It is that idea that has preserved every other culture. Why should we lose our culture, to immigrants who refuse to lose theirs while erasing ours?
I say let em bleed. I woulda started throwing rocks at the dude on the ground bleeding. Yah, drive by stoning.
# November 25th, 2004 at 5:14 pmOnce again Chad, I think you got it exactly right. Why is this stuff so obvious to us and yet so difficult for liberals to understand? The only explanation I can think of is that white liberals feel guilty about having been born white, so to make themselves feel better they dreamed up things like multiculturalism, affirmative action, and diversity.
Once these programs are in place, however, what you end up with is not the happy utopia that liberals hoped for, but reverse discrimination, artificial quotas, and situations like the one in Sweden. Like so much about liberalism, their good intentions lead to disastrous results.

# December 10th, 2004 at 4:53 pmI don’t think the problem in Sweden has much to do with multiculturalism. The US is a hell of a lot more diverse in culture than Sweden is, and we’re doing relatively fine.
This country was built on the backs of people from all over the world.
The Articles of Confederation were printed in German as well as English during the 19th century, and we still don’t have a national language. We are one of the youngest countries, an amalgamation of nearly every culture. I believe is this is what gives our country the greatest potential. The potential to learn, adapt, change, take the best ideas, and learn from the worst. English itself is a mixture of a quite a number of languages. If people are concerned with cultural dilution, they can lobby for a Ministry of language and culture, like France, where government agencies must use words like ‘courier-el’ instead of e-mail.
The early settlers of our nation were adhering to the ‘love it or leave it’ mentality when they came here, and if they didn’t change this mentality and refuse to ‘leave it’ when the British was trying to force them to ‘love it’, we’d probably still be sipping tea and playing footy.
Our culture here in America is something to truly be proud of, it’s been developed over centuries of struggle, why stop now? Here’s another great American activity: Defiance in the face of the status quo.
I’m not saying we should let our culture be erased, hell no. As long as immigrants are coming here to become a citizen, work, pay taxes, and contribute something valuable to our piecemeal culture, they can do what they please, I say.
This is, and always will be OUR COUNTRY, where we don’t follow the words of one person, ideology, or religion. One of our greatest strengths lie in our common diversity, where people of all cultures have taken arms together to fight in what they believe in.
Sorry, I kind of went off on a tangent. It’s a slow friday, and I’m at work bored. I think you guys have some really interesting ideas and I enjoy reading your posts.

# December 10th, 2004 at 5:15 pmYou’re right Bryan B, America is the great melting pot. Like it says on the coins, “e pluribus unum.” We Americans come from and derive strength from a multitide of cultures.
However, the modern doctrine of Multiculturalism is different. It is the exact opposite of the old-fashioned American melting pot. The dictionary definition of multiculturalism is “the doctrine that several different cultures (rather than one national culture) can co-exist peacefully and equitably in a single country.”
The following is from the web site of the Ayn Rand Institute:
“Multiculturalism is a growing force in America’s universities and public life. In brief, multiculturalism is the view that all cultures, from that of a spirits-worshiping tribe to that of an advanced industrial civilization, are equal in value. Since cultures are obviously not equal in value—not if man’s life is your standard of value—this egalitarian doctrine can have only one purpose: to raze the mountaintops. # December 10th, 2004 at 11:56 pmI agree. Cultures that value oppression and stagnation are not good for a progressive society at all, but what can we do? As long as they are within the confines of the law, I don’t think we can stop them. For example, a friend of mine’s co-worker migrated here from India. This guy, is a US citizen, worked his way into a top position at his company, yet he still recognized India’s caste system. When someone from India comes over and is in a higher caste than him, he kisses their feet and bends over backward for them. This is absolutely ridiculous, but what can you do? We tried talking to this guy, loves comic books, thinks the US is the best country in the world, but he seriously believes in the caste system. I personally believe the caste system is completely detremental to society, but India’s been doing alright with it all these years. I’ve even lost a few software contracts to folks in India, but that’s another story.
