Soldier to lead PW chapter in San Diego

02.25.2005

All right San Diego readers! You gotta read citizen smash’s latest post. He just became head of the Protest Warrior Chapter in San Diego. And they’re planning on a picnic at Balboa Park in mid-march.

We’re asking everyone in San Diego to celebrate Independence Day a little bit early this year. On March 19, from 1 to 4pm, come to the west end of Balboa Park for a Patriots’ Picnic, in the grassy area along Sixth Avenue, just south of Laurel Street.

Wear red, white, and blue. Pack a picnic for your family and friends. Bring a football, soccer ball, or frisbee (leave the baseball bats at home). Laugh, play, and have fun. Balboa Park is open for everyone — nobody can prohibit you from using it peacefully.

Oh, and if you feel the urge, you might want to bring along an American flag, or maybe a homemade sign expressing your support for our troops.

So I bought the domain name dirtroadhick.com. I think it’s a great domain name… I just have no idea what I could possibly do with it right now. Maybe you guys have some interesting ideas that you might want to share?

Combat Hand Signals

02.23.2005

John of Argghhh posted this great image of all the “new and coming” hand signals that could/might be used in combat. It’s a rough joke as to the dangers of rapid expansion. A must see.

Also, he linked to this hilarious video. This is the kinda stuff you gotta do to keep sane out in that blasted desert. Language warning.

The Life & Death of Michael Wahl

02.12.2005

Update ยป Working on a tribute site.

Michael Wahl | Rest In Peace I was in kindergarten when we first met. I can’t say I have alot of memories of him back then because the next year he was gone to homeschooling. It would be a good 7 years or so before we would meet up again.

It was the first day of 7th grade, and I was 12. My dad opened a grade school at the church he pastored, and this was the first year of its opening. It was a small class, and I just about knew everybody there being that they were from the church and the former Christian school I attended. My mom had told me of a new kid coming to class that morning. One who I went to kindergarten with, and how he needed a friend here at the school. It was Michael Wahl. He sat on the couch real quite like and shy. Didn’t really say hi or nothin, just acknowledged my greeting.

He reached into that oversized bag and pulled out a hand grenade.

Class was about to start when his mom, Monica, pulled the classroom door open and ushered him in. I had a seat open next to me, and I just recall him luggin this huge backpack across his shoulders as he came in. The thing had to be half the size of him. Read the rest of this entry »

The Little Injun That Could

02.12.2005

Oh boy! It’s that wild and crrrrrazy professor from Colorado, the long haired, hippy-looking Churchill. It seems his background is about as colorful, and completely delusional as John Kerrys! Ann (my second love) has written up a mighty intersting peice here.

By Ann Coulter

Churchill already has a phony lineage and phony war record — just like John Kerry! (Someone should also check out Churchill’s claim that he spent Christmas 1968 at Wounded Knee.) In 1983, Churchill met with Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi and later felt it necessary to announce that his group, the American Indian Movement, “has not requested arms from the Libyan government.” In 1997, he was one of the “witnesses” who spoke at a “Free Mumia” event in Philadelphia on behalf of convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. more…

Thats just how colleges go, to hire these wackos. Many a decent minded college kid goes in to school fine, and comes out with their brains in a scramble, from the likes of these guys.

What ever happened to cowboy law, anyway? Sheesh. We had a good thing goin, then now look! I really am a big fan of bringing back the gallows. We should start a campaign… not unlike PETA’s. Just garner attention, by doing outlandish and completely nonsensical media stunts. Maybe we can bring em back. Or we can just take comfort in the fact that this guy is going to hell twice.
