Furriner Feedback

03.31.2005

Its super fun feedback time!

Our fine, sophisticated, Euro friend Z writes,

I dont live in America and so until coming across this website accidentily I had never quite realized how unaware, ignorant, and one-minded some of you are. It is a stereotype I had often heard and if nothing else, you’re website has succeeded in confirming that. ’sponser a sniper!’ there’s nationalism, and then there is pathetic blindness to reality.

I really like Z. He’s smart. Someday, I will move to the great Eruo, and get an education on socialism. Then I will be smart too.

Apology Not Accepted

03.31.2005

OFF DRUDGE

Jane Fonda has no regrets about her trip to North Vietnam in 1972 - with one big exception: her visit to a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun site used to shoot down U.S. pilots. She says her appearance there, which earned her the epithet “Hanoi Jane,” was a “betrayal” of the U.S. military, its soldiers and “the country that gave me privilege. She regards the event as one of the biggest mistakes of her life. Fonda speaks to Lesley Stahl in her first interview about her upcoming autobiography, Jane Fonda: My Life So Far, for a 60 MINUTES report to be broadcast Sunday, April 3 (7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Jane Fonda will get no symapathy from me. Who the hell wants to buy her autobiography anyways? What a sad, pathetic, read that would be.

This Site Design

03.29.2005

So I’m considering upgrading this site to the new WordPress 1.5, cos it has so many nifty whistles and bells. But it would pain me, knowing that I spent so much time on this current design. And it hardly seems that long ago, too.

Hypothetically speaking… IF I were to redesign this bad boy… would there be any reader idea’s/suggestions/comments ? Or anything on here that a reader would like to see?

I know Chris wrote me earlier about wanting a registered reader profile area, kinda like they have in forums and all. Hey! Maybe I should start a forum on here. Done… In my spare time, I’m gonna re-work this piece of…. uhh…. work….

I’m thinkin’ either an old west theme… or maybe a WWI style.

The “No Right Answer” Game

03.27.2005

America’s forces have won all their wars,
From Revolution to war in Iraq;
And Lefties don’t point to the Vietnam War,
Where you stabbed winning troops in the back.
No, the truth is we win; we win time and again;
Done it time after time after time.
Doesn’t matter to you, ‘cause whatever we do,
We’ve always somehow dropped the dime.

To Lefties our generals just have to be wrong,
Wrong tactics, wrong weapons, wrong forces;
We’re the gang who somehow can never shoot straight,
To hear the mainstream media sources.
Just look at their headlines, view every day’s news,
With their blistering barrages of blame.
To warriors out here at the point of the spear,
It’s those losers’ “No Right Answer,” game.

In this lugubrious game loved by Liberal elites,
There’s just but one rule to enforce:
Whatever we do, in whatever war,
Must naturally be wrong of course.
There is no right answer, no matter what,
Even when our warriors are winning;
There’s always the sly implication we lie,
In the splenetic stories they’re spinning.

In peacetime they charge our forces too large
During wartime they squall they’re too small;
In peacetime they whine we’re spending too much;
But in war, “Where’s the armor for all?”
With consummate confidence they know what’s best,
Puerile pundits so smug and so smarmy,
Pontificate loud to their Liberal crowd,
That we once again have the wrong Army.

Pick a war, any war, or a period of peace;
Field marshals of the media are spinning;
If generals of journalism are so in the know,
Why are genuine generals winning?
So here at the front, harsh home of the grunt,
We ignore their attempts to defame.
The troops know the score, know what this war’s for;
They can stuff their “No Right Answer,” game.

Sick of Hearing About Terri Schiavo?

03.25.2005

H. E. double hockey sticks, I sure am!

This is a rant. I’m going to sound like an S.O.B. For this I apologize.

But if I have to hear from another bleeding heart about “Save Terri Schiavo from an unimaginable death” any more…. I’m gonna start showing them what REAL unimaginable death is.

First off. Painfully starving to death???? Gimme a freakin break. Terri Freakin Schiavo is so completely hopped up on the sweet substance called Morphine, that she cannot feel the nerves on her nerves. A state that I only WISH I could be in, sometimes. I know it’s completely popular with everybody right now to be out on this great quest of justice for Terri, but I’m not buyin it for a freakin second.

Secondly. Pulling the tubes is probably the best thing that she’s had goin for her these past 15 YEARS! I want you to all think back to fifteen years ago. I can’t even remember what happened 5 years ago. Shoot. That is a freakin long time.

Thirdly. A million dollars? I’ll be lucky to bring in 20K this year. But a freakin million dollars a year to keep a lady stuck in a very tragic state of body and mind??? Holy Mackeral. I can think of a few places where people are starving to death, children are starving to death. And they all happen to be of complete sound body and mind. It’s called Africa. Welcome to reality. I don’t know about you, but I would much rather see a million dollars of tax payer (you and me) money going to those people. They are actually functioning for the love of all things sacred!!!

Fourth. What is happening now to Terri is called this, and only this…. “Nature taking its course“. Yea, thats tuff, I know… I’m a real insensative bastard. I hate to be the one to break this to you, but people die all the time. Yep. I know yer in shock here, so I’ll give you a minute to recuperate. No I won’t.

Terri has had a good life behind her. But face it. It’s over now. An old one dies, and a new one is born. I think that one movie…. Lion King touched on something like this… yea, thats right…. it’s called the circle of life.

I’m real sorry to see it happen, but this is what makes me mad. All of the people who are making this huge stink over Terri, have probably never even given a thought to makin a stink over the thousands who starve to death elsewhere in this great big ol’ world we live in. And now this new hip fad is in. “Cool folks wanna save Terri from an unimaginable death of starvation!!!”

You know…. I can think of alot of bad ways to die. In fact…. I can only pray that my death will be as painless as Terri Freakin Schiavo’s. Knowing me, I’ll probably be shot down in a volley of gunfire for some obscure reason. But that’s only cos I’m all about goin out with yer boots on. I mean… I gotta die with a sword in my hand in the heat of battle if I ever plan to enter the Halls of Valhala. But thats another story another day.

So go ahead and say it. Say what you gotta say. JJ may think that Michael Schiavo needs a bullet. I agree. And it needs to be very well spent putting Terri out of what has to be a miserable state. Thats what I would do. You call it evil, I call it compasison. There are better things awaiting her on the other side. (hopefully)

“omg!!!! you nazi!!!!! euthanasia!!!! teh devil!1!!!!!”

The reality is this. It is nothing like that. This is called a mercy killing. Sounds sick, I know. Thats just being frank about it.

And besides… after this, whats next?? Are they gonna come up with ways to cryogenically freeze everybody, until they figure how to cheat death, so we can all live happily forever?

I’ve been holding all this in these past few weeks, cos I know how “unpopular” it is. But now I’m so fed up with hearing it on every talk radio station, every TV news station, and every cool-aid drinkin “blogger for saving Terri”.

There. I feel better. Now I can go to bed, and sleep easy, knowing that I offended lots of you bleeding hearts out there. Cry me a freaking river.

(Do you think I said “freaking” enough in this post?)

The Big Difference

03.24.2005

Eric had this piece posted over at the southern beat. It’s worth repeating.

How do you tell the difference between Democrats, Republicans and Southern Republicans? The answer can be found by posing the following question:

You’re walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises the knife, and charges. You are carrying a Glock, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?

Democrat’s Answer:
Well, that’s not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or Oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children? Is it possible he’d be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? Should I call 9-1-1 ? Why is this street so deserted? We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior. This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus.

Republican’s Answer:
BANG!

Southern Republican’s Answer:
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! click.. (sounds of reloading). BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! click.
Daughter: Nice grouping, Daddy! Were those the Winchester Silver Tips or Speer Gold Dot?

The Deaniac Strikes Again

03.23.2005

Howard Dean recently said:

”I don’t believe in blue states or red states,” the former 2004 presidential candidate said. ”I believe in purple states — and some are more purple than others.”

”We need to talk about values and not be afraid of them,” he said, going on to make two biblical references.

In the first he said Jesus’ directive to ”love thy neighbor” didn’t mean one could choose which ones to love. He then remarked that Republicans never brought up the scriptural verse saying it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven.”

Now does anybody think that putting Howard Dean in charge of the DNC was a good idea. This man has been severely beaten with a stupid stick.

One More Armed Good Guy

MN School Shooting

03.23.2005

Okay, here is the long expected post on the school shooting in Minnesota. I’m sure the anti-gunners here have been expecting it, so that they can jump on it like coyotes on my sister’s cat.

Jeff Weise is our spotlight character in this story. 16 year old kid on an indian reservation. And a neo-nazi sympathist.

Yesterday’s rampage by Jeff Weise - the worst US school shooting since the 15-death Columbine massacre in 1999 - appeared to have been planned, investigators said. The spree left seven wounded, five of whom were still being treated in hospitals.

Tabman said Weise first went to the home of his grandfather Daryl Lussier, a sergeant with the Red Lake police department, where he shot him and a woman who was his companion.

He then stole his grandfather’s bullet-proof vest and drove to Red Lake High School where he overpowered, shot and killed an unarmed security guard, 28-year-old Derrick Brun, at an entrance equipped with a metal detector, Tabman added.

Walking down a hallway, Weise “saw a teacher and some students,” fired at them and chased them into a room where he killed the 52-year-old teacher, Neva Rogers, and five students, and wounded the others, Tabman said. (more…)

So first off, lets not hear any B.S. about how guns should belong to police and military only. Because if that was the case, this STILL would have have happened. His grandfather was a police officer. He killed his own kin, took guns and a bullet proof vest, and headed to school.

Secondly, this is a very good illustration why metal detectors are a complete friggin joke. But the left won’t understand that. Common sense could tell you that a metal detector woulden’t help in a situation like this. Even after it just got proved to be pointless, the left will still want more of them in our schools. A waste of your money.

According to the sources, this kid was often the subject of ridicule at school. A “goth” and obsessed with violence, a nazi, a videogame kid, etc. And everyone is blaming these things. But it would only seem like these to the simple minded. The reality is this. A generally sick and twisted kid. He was born to lose.

There are millions of “goth” kids who listen to the same music that Jeff Weise did, own guns of their own, play violent video games, and have never went on shooting sprees. Guns are not to blame. That is obvious. Even the court house shooting was done with a police(grandma’s) gun. The only lesson an educated person, with a working mind, would learn from these lessons, is that guns in the right hands can save lives. (officer grandma not being one of them)

This is why I carry. And I believe that anyone who can trust themselves to act accordingly in an emergency situation SHOULD carry. I look at it as a duty. Think of the lives that could have been saved, if teachers carried. Instead no. The teacher was running away from a 16 year old kid. The teacher was cowering in a corner at the moment of her death. An adult is charged to protect our children. How was she protecting the children then? It saddens me that so few people understand this concept.

Police obviously can’t be trusted to protect all of us, all the time. They are there to clean up the mess and do the paperwork. If you don’t believe that, then you are blinded by ignorance.

A teacher at the columbine shooting actually had a gun in his car. The only thing is, he wasn’t allowed to park his vehicle in the “gun-free-zone-that-wasn’t-exactly-gun-free” on that fateful morning. So while he’s sprinting down the street to get his “peace tool”, people are being killed behind him. Had he been carrying, he could have cut the casualty list probably more than in half. But the fool leftists will never buy that. They are partisan to what they want to believe, no matter how much fact/proof you shove in their pompous faces. All their decisions are based on pure emotions, and not common sense.

So anyways, I’m predicting the left is gonna blame guns and demand more gun control. Same old story with them.

The obvious fact in this story, is that no amount of gun control would have stopped what happened in Minnesota… or Colombine. 12 gun control laws were broken in the columbine incident. And stealing is the main one in Minnesota. Point being that laws are laws, and can easily be broken. Even easier if the culprit doesn’t plan on living after the event. Nothing to lose. Laws only affect the law abiding citizen. Which means, more laws hurts the good guys. So let us focus on enforcing the ones we have, instead of making up new B.S. laws for criminals to break.

The root of Jeff’s problem goes much deeper. The kid was just sick. Plain and simple. It’s not society’s fault. He was raised without regard for human life. He started his journey down a dark road at a much earlier age. He bought the lies that satan told him, that this was the right path to take. And now he will pay for it for eternity. These are the things I believe.

Speaking of end times, Jesus said

“Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.” Mark 13:12-13

Let us always do our best to prevent events like this in the future. But let us also trust God and His plan for us.

The Credit Card Prank

03.22.2005

This is seriously a beautiful thing. And what makes it so funny, is the fact that it’s so true.

In Prank One our boy goes around and writes wacky signatures on his credit card receipts in hope that somebody will call him on it. You’ll have to read to the end of Prank Two, in order to find out the surprise ending!
