Me and Jarrid hunted that coyote again last night. After it got too dark we went to my folks backyard firepit, and kicked back for an hour or so.

Around 9:30 pm, as we were talking we heard a rustle in the thick brush that was off to the side of us. It was pitch black out, so I picked up the maglight and panned the thicket. That was when I saw the bastards two glowing eyes. He was only 15 yards away!

I have Jarrid hold the maglight, as I turn around to retreive my AR-15. When I brought the sights up, the varmint was gone. So I followed after him, down a side trail around the brush. But I heard him take off, and dissappear.

We’re trying again tonight. We’ll get this dirty dog.

Hey hook up that sentry turret to the AR-15, and make sure only people you dislike venture back there

Have you tried baitin’, I’ve found a real clever varmint can figure-out calls and decoys BUT they loose all self-control and reason when confronted with the smell of a 1/2 pound of Beef chuck steak covered in a pint of pigs blood. That always seems to keep ‘em interested and busy long enough for a nice clean shot at the boiler room. Just make sure you place it somewhere high enough to gather wind (but so you can overlook it) and clear enough to exclude cover for at least 5 yards around. I’d get it done nice n’ early too so you have a plenty of daylight… their desire will overide their instincts to wait for dark.
