Grandpa Wrassles Coyote

10.10.05

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — A Massachusetts grandfather was recovering Thursday after wrestling with a coyote that attacked him and his 4-year-old grandson while they were walking on a nature trail.

Arthur Cole, 76, and his grandson, Nicholas, 4, were walking near the Assabet River about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when the 45-pound female coyote attacked them from behind, reported Boston television station WCVB. Nicholas ran for help while his grandfather wrestled the coyote to the ground.

This is pretty impressive. Maybe I should attempt the same tactical maneuver on the one at my folks house.

The damn dogs are gettin’ worse and worse here in Mass… lost a fat doe to ‘em on opening day of bow seaon last year… Coyote attacks are almost becoming a regular event these days, and yet there’s still a set hunting season on ‘em instead of an open season and a bounty….not to mention that it’s probably Pres. Bush’s fault that the dogs are attacking in the first place. Two more weeks and we’ll be back home, where men are free and the ‘yotes are scared… WOO-HOO!

Same here in Central NY. Since the turkey population has exploded, as has the deer (hunters decline every year) the coyote is now a curse upon our land.

Since NY politics is run by liberal weenies, you need some kind of pest control permit issued by the state to hunt them but ONLY ON YOUR OWN PROPERTY, and only if you can prove they’ve been molesting LIVESTOCK. If they eat your poodle, tuff stuff.

However, I do carry my M1 .30 Carbine with hollowpoints while out on the tractor… Hey, ain’t I livestock?? hehheh
