Opening Day!
10.10.05Today is opening day for deer season! Jonas and I got our deer and elk tags and headed out past Fernan Saddle in the national forest. We drove the canyonero up and parked on the north side of the NF-406 trail. From there we hiked deep into the woods.
We had some activity we were tryin for in the thicket, but we coulden’t get em to come out.
We’re gonna try a closer spot this evening. Hopefully we’ll have better luck.

Arrgh…the torture.
# October 10th, 2005 at 2:54 pmGood luck, men. Our Muzzleloader season comes in this Saturday and I’ve got an empty freezer at home!!!
# October 11th, 2005 at 6:23 amHaha people who devote their freezers to dead animals are awesome! I wish I had one but my mom doesnt like wild meat and my dad doesnt take me hunting very often.
# October 11th, 2005 at 5:42 pmWell Quail season just opened here in the PRK so I’m a little distracted from deer, for which I’ve got 20 days left to “spend” my tag.
Good luck ‘fellas.
# October 11th, 2005 at 7:28 pmY’all be sure to send any pics, if you get em!
# October 11th, 2005 at 8:52 pmYou mean WHEN we Get ‘em!!!
# October 12th, 2005 at 6:01 amAny body kill any deer yet??? Tomorrow’s opening morning here in Kentucky!!! This season is just in for 2 days, though.
# October 14th, 2005 at 12:09 pmWe need an all year round season here in PA. We have so many deer you could get 10 an hour just driving around but Im pretty sure thats illegal.
# October 14th, 2005 at 5:44 pmOkay me, I don’t need to hear that… darn stupid, rasslefassin, no-good commie Kalifornia sure racks my ginny.
# October 14th, 2005 at 8:52 pmIm sayin PA is stupid cause they dont let you hunt them really cause theres so many regulations on them but theres so many deer its too tempting. In my county I cant even hunt with a rifle, I have to use slugs.
# October 15th, 2005 at 11:52 amThe freezer is no longer empty, men… Anybody else kill one this weekend? I’ll start a thread on the forum so we can tell deer hunt’n lies.
# October 18th, 2005 at 6:38 amAh Crud. And I’ve been out almost every other night too. Hiked for 5 miles or so, and didn’t even jump a doe.
# October 18th, 2005 at 7:08 amThat’s why they call it hunt’n and not “kill’n'”, right?!
# October 18th, 2005 at 9:44 amI’m waitin on those photos, partner. You can upload em at http://www.putfile.com and link to em in the forum!
# October 18th, 2005 at 2:50 pmAs soon as I get a chance I’ll load ‘em up. It’s a matter of finding a few minutes of free time, know what I mean? Do they post on the forum? Or do I link them to the forum?
