Pull Out!
01.28.06A friend sent me this. Some of you may have seen it already.
If you consider that there have been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000.
The rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000.
That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in our Nation’s Capitol, which has the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.
Conclusion: We should immediately pull out of Washington DC!

Hahaha… Yea, DC is scary. Me and the wiff got lost there one year when we went to the March For Life. It was interesting.
# January 28th, 2006 at 5:00 pmdefiniltey, and with that, i say chicago and any other city that has a higher percentage.
# January 28th, 2006 at 5:06 pmDamn straight.
# January 28th, 2006 at 5:50 pmOf course, a huge number of deaths in Iraq are not due to firearms at all, but to IEDs, RPGs, accidents, etc. So the firearm death in Iraq is even that much lower.
# January 28th, 2006 at 8:32 pmDamn skippy Guavy Guaverton.
# January 28th, 2006 at 9:07 pmShoot!!! How about the death rate on our own highways!!!
# January 29th, 2006 at 12:14 amAlright, DC!!! The Original Chocolate City! Holla at ya boi! Yeah, our local news (i live in DC) does a sort of round up - “today’s shootings” thing every night. It’s depressing. Still I would say the violence is more explained by the incredible differences in wealth in different parts of the city, rather than gun control laws. (northwest = ultra rich, southeast = ultra poor) Many of the people who get killed are packing heat themselves, regardless of the laws. Recently, the inner city is getting really wealthy, so the poor people are being pushed into neighboring Prince George’s county, and much of the violence is going with them. Such is the way of the of world, it seems…
ps - We’ve pulled out of DC before - after the race riots when Martin Luther King was killed.
# January 29th, 2006 at 10:57 amTrue!!!! let’s go all to Irak then, a spot of calm comparing with this scary place..

I would highly recomend the XD-40 as I too have one of these fine tools.
JJ,
Have you any problems with your ejector? I broke mine somehow. I called Springfield and they paid shipping round trip and fixed it for free. Only down side is I was without the XD for a few weeks. I now only load 9 in the mag to prevent that from happening again.
