Sloppy Google
01.02.06So Google is the number one search engine. Well… they can kick rocks for all I care. Most of my readers have seen my Michael Moore photo at one time or another. This photo actually made it to number three on the Google Image search for his name. I was so proud. But it looks like they’ve blocked the photo from appearing at all. Now, even when you type in Michale Moore Fat Bastard, all you find are a couple images, and one from Glenn Beck that is the same style as my own…but not as good.
At least it’s still number 2 on Yahoo. I think I’ll rename the image, and see if the googlebots pick it back up again.
Update ยป Apparently you must have the filter turned off to view my… graphic picture of the fat bastard.

Stupid Google hippies. Good news though, as of 8:10 PM (CST), your Michael Moore picture is number one on Yahoo. And Google might not be that super after all, they’re ranked third among English language pages, behind Yahoo and MSN. Keep up the good work.
# January 3rd, 2006 at 6:12 pmMust have been a glitch–I just checked Google and your photo was #1.
# January 7th, 2006 at 8:54 amOh, sorry–it was a similar one, without the ball cap.
# January 7th, 2006 at 8:56 amGuys, Guys, Guys….. Please take the time to DISABLE the “Google Mommy Censor” also known as “Safe Search” As soon as you take the time to select “Do NOT filter my results” You will find that the PassTheAmmo version of the photo STILL has the #1 spot on Google.
# January 7th, 2006 at 10:02 amDave - Yea, I saw that guys version….
Woods - Hey! Thats weird, cos I don’t have the google mommy search filter on, on my home computer. I wonder why it didn’t show up. Either way… it used to be on the safe list… I guess it’s just too naughty.
# January 7th, 2006 at 12:49 pmThanks Woodser–didn’t realize it defaulted to a filter. Now I can see pictures that will get me in the doghouse a lot quicker than ever.
# January 9th, 2006 at 7:03 amThe fast track to the Doghouse is the ONLY way to go!!
