05.05.06Kennedy: Police report filed in car crash, but no charges (News Link)
CAPITOL HILL A spokeswoman says Congressman Patrick Kennedy has “no knowledge of any citations” from his early morning crash yesterday.His office received a police report this morning on the car crash.
A statement from Capitol Police says officers “are continuing to investigate.”
A police union official has said officers were ordered to send the congressman home. The union official says Kennedy appeared intoxicated and officers smelled alcohol.
In a statement, the Rhode Island Democrat says he took medication prescribed by a doctor, but didn’t drink anything before the crash. Kennedy also says he never asked for “preferential treatment.”
His father is Senator Edward Kennedy.
Too bad he coulden’t have ended up at the bottom of a lake, like that one girl. This ‘No punishment for Kennedys’ is getting really old. What we need is some good ol’ fashioned Idaho Honky Justice. String em up.
