Hydra shocks, boy those suckers expand! The modern isoceles has a wider stance more leg bend and a parallel square-on presentation... the P-40 benefits from this approach if your are of a lighter frame, us big fellas' can use the modified, that's prety much what I use for everything these days 'cept plinkin one-handed with a .22, then I belt-buckle it. I have both a P11 and P40; Jarrid don't use 180gr. rounds, stay clear of Federal Hydrashocks (I love 'em but the P40 doesn't) try GoldDot's or Winchester Rangers. You'll find a Handall Jr. helps control the P40 along with switching the factory recoil springs with Wolff 20 or 22 lb. replacements.
