Happy Birthday America!
07.04.06Today is America’s 230th birthday. God bless her.
If you were to ask me why I love her, it might take me a bit before I could answer. I would have to think of all the many reasons, enough to write a book about it. There’s the freedom of democracy, the right to bear arms, the prusuit of happiness, the freedom of religion… a country founded on God’s principles. It’s one thing that will always get my utmost respect, America. I will never take my freedoms for granted. I will never take for granted, the fighting men who gave their lives for my freedom. I truley believe that we are a nation under God. That Gods hand guides us, and made us the greatest nation on Earth in such a short matter of time. If we will only continue to be a nation that serves God, He will continue to bless us.
You’re a grand old flag.
You’re a high-flying flag.
And forever in peace may you wave. You’re the emblem of the land I love,
the home of the free and the brave!Every heart beats true for the red, white, and blue.
Where there’s never a boast or brag!
But should old acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on that Grand Old Flag!
Never forget the pains that were taken to ensure your freedoms. Never forget the fightin’ men on the front lines. The men who responded courageously to the call of duty.
I think one of my hero’s said it best. He said it best for me, and many a proud American. So I’m just gonna let the Duke do the rest of the talkin’ for me.

Dear Honky Colonials,
Happy Birthday and God bless America!

# July 5th, 2006 at 2:30 amI think that “Nuke Cannon” clip is actually from the film “Dr. Strangelove”. You can tell the explosion is actually from stationary test footage because of the rocket vapor trails you see to the left of the mushroom cloud: I hear they use those for measurement purposes of some kind.
# July 6th, 2006 at 5:05 amI feel the same way, man. I think it’s great that I can criticize my government, be an atheist, and enjoy all this prosperity. How many other places in the world can I do that? Not many at all. I disagree with you about the “if we will only continue as a naiton that serves God…” part, but that’s ok, because everything else you said is the REAL thing.
