Israel vs The World

07.30.06

I recently got into a discussion with a feller about the situation in the middle east. He was asking “Has Israel gone too far?” while posting a photo of a bombed out street in Lebanon. Beirut, Lebanon

I replied that I really didn’t think so. The entire middle east wants to wipe them out, and they get to show em that they ain’t messin around. After all, Israel didn’t go in and capture one of their soldiers. That Israli soldier has probably been tortured to death. And I would be proud to see our country kick another country’s ass over just ONE of our soldiers being taken and killed. Israel doesn’t mess around.

Some canadian lady tried to say that all the people that were bombed were innocent, and shoulden’t have been bombed. Nobody is innocent. But I say we are all guilty of sin. Mankind is ridden with it. War has been our path since the beginning of time. We have never known a “world peace”. Mankind will ultimately destroy itself, until God steps in for the finishing touch. Thats just how it is. As we create more and more powerful weapons, and these weapons become more easily accessible… we only take steps closer to our demise.

So I told her that war is hell. And with it comes collateral damage. It is too bad to see the innocents hurt because of the corrupt and evil leadership… but until they step up and remove the evil bigots, war will always be on their doorsteps.

You don’t know all that much about what’s going on over there, do you?

  2. Gravatar Van Zant Says

Is this to say that you do?

  3. Gravatar cs Says

Good question Van. I will say this tho. Israel is changing their past. They have negotiated in times past by releasing prisoners for soldiers. I think this time they know that the government they are dealing with is bent on Israel’s destruction along with Iran.

I am very proud that the US supports Israel and will weep the day we turn our back on our closest friend.

    Obviously Guav knows all.

  5. Gravatar Chad Says

    He’s sassy too.

I can honestly say that I don’t read every story that comes outta that place. Obviously Palestine is bent on Israels destruction… been that way since Ishmael and Issac.

What tee’s me off, is that Israel JUST gave them back the gaza strip. They didn’t have to, but they did. The palestinians only want it for a staging ground for more attacks.

But I’m up for hearing Guav’s fabulous opinion on it.

  6. Gravatar Van Zant Says

He seems content to express that he thinks you dont know anything and leave it at that.

That would explain his sassy behavior….

To know the future know the past…..thats why I only study history and could give a rip on whats happenning now. You won’t know anything about the effects of now for like 30 freakin years…..

Does anybody know what the “six day war” was? The whole freakin middle east either participated or supported in the attepted wiping out of israel. If you ever read a book on a famous Generals life like a Diary or a Confessions of a Famous General(Norman Swartzcough, Tommy Franks), they all say that the six day war was the most spectacular ass wupin in the history of ass wupins. Not any of the invasions of France……not even close to either of the gulf wars…….it was the six day war that pretty much proved that Gods on Israels side……

Point in being- Israel has kicked more ass than we did in our past 3 wars combind, and if they wanna keep kickin ass to show they can, its alright with me…….

  26. Gravatar Another Chad Says

You guys sure do talk a lot of bull.

Israel (not to mention Dubya) is only provoking MUCH more regional and international opposition while Nasrallah sits around drinking tea and laughing that the IDF gets blamed for the deaths of the kids he stuck in free apts over his munitions stashes.

The IDF can’t destroy Hizbullah (and is in fact strengthening its support base), but it has destroyed the last fragile remains of the “Cedar Revolution” that Dobriansky was touting last year…

Very counter-productive and neither in our interest nor that of our ally Israel.

And if yr mama was the collateral damage, I don’t think you’d be talkin that pseudo-religious psychobabble…

So my question is - do you write this kind of stuff to pose as tough? Cuz I think that’s what Olmert was doing when he got us into this mess….

  27. Gravatar cs Says

Another Chad  how many chad’s in visit chad’s awesomer of awesomized sites.

So, umm, where to start… lets see, Iran would be a good place. So, Israel is doing the provoking? Are you awake? Iran has been calling for the destruction of the Jewish state. Israel has a history of releasing prisoners for hostages but Hizullah is a terrorists organization that is bent on whiping Israel off the planet. Who cares if the base is stenghtened, obviously not strengthened enough or else Israel would be loosing ground.

Very counter-productive and neither in our interest nor that of our ally Israel.

So, suicide bombers are not counter productive? It is about survival, not about anything else.

Pseudo-religious psychobabble? Seems to me that you are the one who isn’t in touch with the world. A common side effect of psychosis. Israel is not to blame, they were attacked and nearly every country around there is wanting Israel gone. Iran is pursuing nuclear capabilities and when they get them what do you think will happen? I’m sure they will share peace with Israel, right? Wrong. Iran believes that they are going to usher in their 12th Imam. Basically the leader that will bring about a world dictatorship. So which is pseudo religious reasons?

If my mama was part of the collateral damage I think I’d be fighting, unless I was a coward.

This is a pro US of A website, without speaking for Chad. I don’t think the guy’s who post here are trying to pose as tough, I think they are tough, lots of them have been brave men for the US military. And please stop with your Anti-Israel, Olmert got us into this mess argument. It is insane. I don’t seem to hear Israel screaming for all other countries around them to die. Or the destruction of all Islamic nations.

My question for you is, what are you smoking?

  28. Gravatar Chad Says

    CS - very well done.

what blows my mind is how brainwashed clowns like AC, think Israel and US of A are the bad guys.

  29. Gravatar cs Says

Got that right Chad brainwashed and - chicken… he must be a member of the drive by media. Leave a twisted view and leave without faceing the facts.

  30. Gravatar Another Chad Says

    And what facts are those?

Egypt, Jordan, the Gulf States, our military ally Turkey, the strength of multilateralism, the moral high ground, the conviction by other nations that we are as just as we are powerful, our ’soft power’, ‘hearts and minds’ - that is the hard-won ground we are losing.

As handy as it may be for you to dismiss considered views different than your own as somehow being due to enemy “brainwashing”, I’d prefer to presume that neither our government nor that of Israel is akin to the likes of Ahmedinejad or Nasrallah (in spite of some professedly inhumane views by some members of both administrations).

Soldiers or not, it is easy for you to sit there and encourage policies that further warfare and bloodshed when you get to live safely in Idaho. And I truly don’t understand why you think it is advantageous for us as Americans to do so. However difficult Israel’s geopolitical position, Hizbullah hardly poses a mortal threat. However, we are increasing the likelihood of the actual mortal threat that we all (except, perhaps, for brave young men such as yourselves) fear may be possible in the not-so-distant future from WMDs that sit in neither Babylon nor Bekaa.

I am indeed in touch with the world: friends who fear for the safety of relatives locked in the conflict, be they Lebanese Christians or Israeli reservists; British and American journalist friends who see bodies on pavement in West Beirut (no, they don’t work for reuters); friends in the state department who must daily face the vehement protests of allies from Istanbul to Manama; and, last but not least, kids from home, maybe one of us, whose mamas may get an unwelcome letter from the Commander-in-Chief because of his pathetic excuse for diplomacy.

I believe in fighting for justice. But this is not the way to do it. As we are citizens of a democratic country (as, until recently, were the Lebanese), our opinions make a difference. If such views are not thought through and debated, if participants respond to detractors with nonsensical red herrings and ad hominem attacks, if one is accustomed to combat simulation video games while remaining unread in our bloody history and how it could have been prevented, if one is so removed from a reality over which power is exercised, if one’s ridiculous bluster can’t subside even momentarily in deference to real human lives, then democracies are hardly likely to make wise decisions and blood gets on the hands. But then again, as Machiavelli pointed out, only he who is himself wise can be wisely advised.

Keep yr mamas safe boys… I’m sure yr not cowards, but perhaps yr a bit short on careful reflection and thoughtful responses..

We’re not the bad guys, but clearly we got it in us to become so.. and if we wanna deal with “bad guys” and protect people’s mamas, we gotta be smart about it.

  31. Gravatar Another Chad Says

  32. Gravatar cs Says

AC I must say I am surprised you came back. Shows you do have a bit of courage, congrats.

First of all… we are NOT a democracy, we are a REPUBLIC. This republic was formed out of bloodshed and no amount of peace would have solidified our nation when it was birthed. Bloodshed was going to happen and could not be avoided. Second of all it was yourself who came with your guns a’blazin’ “with nonsensical red herrings and ad hominem attacks.” Third of all NO ONE is dismissing your views, I just think they are based off of America/Israel is to blame – lies.

So you want the basic facts, ok. Fact one, Israel didn’t attack Hizbullah, Hizbullah attacked Israel. Fact two, the fight would have ended 3 weeks ago IF Hizbullah would have returned the hostages. Fact three, the US of A is not attacking Hizbullah. Fact four, Hizbullah was/is a terrorist organization. Fact five, Israel hasn’t sent suicide bombers into Palestinian territory. Fact six, Israel has nukes but they don’t threaten to use them. Fact seven, Iran doesn’t have nukes but they were caught smuggling nuclear material from Africa. Fact eight, Iran wants nukes for ONE reason – to destroy Israel. Fact nine, Israel hasn’t called for the destruction of Islamic nations. Fact ten, Israel is wanting peace but it wasn’t they who disrupted the peace… Hizbullah is to blame.

Just ten short facts and that is the short list. No one is encouraging policies, like I said before it is about survival. Is survival a policy? If so then I am encouraging it.

We can’t fight Islamic fascism with opinions. It takes bombs, bullets, and courage. To suggest that you can negotiate with someone who is bent on seeing your nation whipped off the face of the planet is silly. I do have sympathy for the Lebanese people but they elected Hizbullah, their right but Hizbullah got them into this fight.

I doubt you’re in touch with the world as much as you tout. I say that because of the blindness you use to blame Israel. Israel has made all the moves toward peace, they pulled out of the Gaza Strip and have made many concessions for peace. Yet, they continue to be attacked by the nations around them. If Mexico or Canada were spewing anti US sentiment and calling for US destruction while sending bombers over, it is doubtful the US would be peaceful about it.

By we are you meaning we as in the US? If so I agree we are not the bad guys, I don’t think we have it in us to be bad. I feel that we do push our will on other nations a little too freely. I’d much rather the US be the Super Power than China or Russia or Iran. Would you agree? Just because we are away from the battle lines does not mean for one second we are unthankful for the blood that was/is shed for our freedom.

I somehow think the reflection that you desire us to have is one of anti-US anti-Israel thoughts, it ain’t happenin’ with me. No amount of reflection will erase Hizbullah’s policy or Iran’s goal. If we have to be smart then I say we keep on support Israel because it is they who want peace. Peace comes with a fight and if the fight comes to the US then I am willing to fight. For now I am praying for the peace of Jerusalem,

Psa 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
Psa 122:7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
Psa 122:8 For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
Psa 122:9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.

Religious babble, sure, but much better than the religious rhetoric of Iran’s insane Imam junkie.

  33. Gravatar Another Chad Says

This has nothing to do with courage. That’s yr ad hominem crap. Logical fallacy. Look it up. And boiling down what I’m saying to being simply anti-US/Israel is dismissive and a red herring.

Yes, Hizbullah is to blame. Didn’t say it wasn’t. I could give a rat’s ass about Hizbullah. And ahmedinejad and co., why don’t you take yr bombs bullets and courage over to tehran and do us, your mom, all the imaginary friends I’m touting and every Iranian kid I ever got drunk with a favor and take out some clerics..

cuz lil dubya don’t talk to them.. he talks to olmert.. and that’s why I’m ragging on them both… cuz for better or worse, they’re ours.. and they’re making very serious mistakes.

What I want you to reflect on is the fact that we’re not schoolin Nasrallah, we’re gettin schooled. We’re makin it worse for ourselves, not better, by the policies our REPUBLIC is pursuing. I’m anti- those policies. If you wanna play this retarded game, I think YOU are anti-US/Israel by supporting such policies. I think YOUR preferred course of action (bomb Islamic fascism into the ground?) is recklessly endangering not only millions of people in the region (and SINCE YOU CAN’T GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD THAT I THINK ITS A GIVEN I repeat the obvious juvenile fact that Iran/Hizbullah “started it”), but also making matters worse for our pretty little selves while we’re out coon shootin and yellin nuke the bastards like idiots..

i’ll tell ya, those girls from Tabriz might be havin a good time gettin drunk, screwin spooks and marines in Istanbul.. they might hate the ayatollahs with a bloodlust that you’d wet yr pants about when yr holdin yr huntin rifle.. but they’d slit yr damn throat in a patriotic second nonetheless if you’d even think about acting on all the frontin you do towards their asshole leaders.. they think the same thing about ours and got the same stupid sound bytes to “prove” it… they’ll remind you, just like the kids watchin the american-made fireworks in jemayzeh these days ( they’re not doin this no more - http://network.news.com.au/image/0,10114,422138,00.jpg ) that they don’t like it either, that they’d love a little help since they don’t live in a REPUBLIC, but that we’re sure not helpin things much as it stands and that killin their mamas isn’t the help they had in mind…

If we’re gonna keep talkin, yr gonna have to get through yr head what I’m sayin here instead of characterising it in such ridiculous ways… and I’m gonna need a case of that mississippi mud…

PS please read the New Testament, particularly the bits in red, before you start throwing Psalms at me to back up yr war drums…

  34. Gravatar Chad Says

AC - you bigoted, intolerant, ignorant loud mouth. you can scream at us all you like, but it doesn’t change the truth.

you can’t even argue the simple facts. you can’t even blame the terrorist supporting group who started it. all you can do is badmouth US/Israel in your emotional brainwashed frame of mind. time to wash the horse pucky out from your ears. If yer gonna stick around here, you might as well start producing real arguements, not rudimentary blame games.

you’re a blog snake that has no knowledge of what the answers are. there’s no way you COULD know what the answers to the universe are. so change your approach here, or kick rocks. cos i won’t keep you around. you’re boring. we’ve heard all your so-called “answers to world peace” before, by other zombified moonbats regurgitating what Move.on.org had to say.

your problem is that you are blaming the wrong people for what has happened.

  35. Gravatar cs Says

Read the words in red… interesting. I’m guessin’ you take the words in red above all else? I take it all as a whole thank you. I echo what chad said, you haven’t produced one argument. You’ve corrected you democracy error and I think it made you upset someone called you on it. They hate us, I don’t hate them, they bomb us/Israel but we don’t send our children with bombs strapped to them saying, go get your virgins son.

It has nothing to do with courage huh? Well then why aren’t the clerics strapping bombs on themselves? Why are they sending kids out, why are they using homes to launch missles from and then backing them into a garage?

If you think the policy of defending a peace loving nation, Israel, while working to defeat Islamic Fascism is a failed policy then you are in a sad mental state. All you do is fall back on how many people are dying, sure its sad, but THEY should have considered that when they elected Hezbullah. I can say for certain if the fight ever came here, myself, along with Chad, JJ, and all the other freedom loving bloggers that post here WILL NOT BE SENDING OUR CHILDREN OUT TO FIGHT. I will be happy to DIE in their stead to DEFEAT the anti-Israel/US freedom hating Islam Fascist countries!

HAHAHA! HA!! Just back in. NOTICED the article sent in from (AC). Did you catch the author???????????????? Michael Moran, an enemy sympathizer, ABC journalist and member of Americas off the chart bias.

By the way, ABC uses the voice of Donald Sutherland, actor in an anti-war film with Hanoi Jane (Jane Fonda), FTA. THE film was totally derogatory to our troops. FTA is an acronym for (Fu*k the Army).

NOW, just my point*** the media is, has been unfair to our troops, Like the bumper sticker directed toward our Murtha depicting a WWII Army troop drinking a cup of Joe saying,
“Hey Murtha, have a cup of shut up, and stop stabbing our troops in the back”

It’s time the media and passivist Libs stop that too.

  39. Gravatar Terry McGhee Says

No offense AC, but the source is biased (.)
As for that photoshop deal, well, according to other news sources, Reuters is the most biased next to Aljezeera.

  40. Gravatar cs Says

    AC said:

This has nothing to do with courage. That’s yr ad hominem crap. Logical fallacy. Look it up. And boiling down what I’m saying to being simply anti-US/Israel is dismissive and a red herring.

Nonsensical- Lacking intelligible meaning: a nonsensical jumble of words. Foolish; absurd: nonsensical ideas.
Ad hominem - Appealing to personal considerations rather than to logic or reason: Debaters should avoid ad hominem arguments that question their opponents’ motives.
red herring- Something that draws attention away from the central issue.
Logical fallacy -a fallacy in logical argumentation

I want everyone to see the strategy. If you can’t win a debate you label, using technical words, your opponent to try and gain an intellectual edge. Just because most people are not trained in the lingo of debating does not mean they can’t win. Case in point, a debating course I took pitted me against two very bright and “fancy speaking” people, they knew the terms but they lost the debate. If you have an argument present it but not the way Another Chad presents it. Use facts, stick to the issue, and be logical.

How many words were used in each category? Lets keep score now.

    Post 1.
    24 – nonsensical
    31- red herring’s
    48- ad hominem’s
145 words were used. 103 were wasted.

Post 2. The issues are about Israel and the military actions they are taking. So basically this entire post is red herring because it is drawing attention away from the main points, the reason to support of not support Israel.

    494 words used.
    157- red herrings
    141- ad hominem
    8- logical fallacy
    306 words wasted.

    Post 3
    467 Words used.
    119- nonsensical
    148 – red herring
    24 – logical fallacy
    291 Words wasted.

AC I took your advise and posted the definitions of the words and scored you accordingly. Someone else can count to double check. It is biased, of course, but I tried to be fair.

The ever-popular human shields are seen in action as a gunman open fire at Israeli troops. Civilians, including children, are feet away from the action. Islamic radical use kids as shields in order to accomplish two objectives. First, they act as a deterrent from Israeli return fire. Second, they act as great propaganda when one ends up wounded or dead. Imagine the world outcry if Israel put kids next to IDF soldiers operating in a combat zone:

    Human Shields

Palestinian militant fires toward Israeli troops during an arrest raid in the West Bank village of Qabatiyeh near Jenin, Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006. Four Palestinians were wounded when the army arrested an Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades militant, Palestinians sources said. The army said two Islamic Jihad militants were arrested during the operation.
