Penn & Teller on Gun Control
04.30.07A great half hour episode on Gun Control. They’re some pretty foul mouthed dudes, but the content is good.

I heart P&T
# April 30th, 2007 at 12:06 pmI was just thinking the other day….It costs me $150 to take a ccw class, and another $100 to actually apply….that is $250 i have to pay for my basic right to bear arms. Do I have to pay $250 to speak? Or hang out with groups of people? some good news however….michigan, although it sucks for everything else, and we have a devil worshipping canadian running this garbage state…..we are an open carry state, which means i dont need a permit to carry, as long as its showing, but when i get in my car i have to put it in the trunk. And if I do have my ccw, the school parking lot is no longer off limits, the school itself still is, but if i go to pick someone up its ok to carry.
# April 30th, 2007 at 2:07 pmI watched this the other day. Has some good points but I can’t say that I was happy with P&T using a bible as a shotgun clay. Not cool. And the scene of them in the beginning shooting all the pistols looked extremely gay. I thought Teller was going to shoot himself and/or Pen.
# April 30th, 2007 at 6:50 pmYeah, I mean, I’m an atheist but I have no desire to shoot bibles or anything like that—that’s a bit unnecessary.
But then again, they’re expected to act outrageous, so I guess it’s part of their schtick.
# April 30th, 2007 at 8:17 pmJJ - I felt the exact same way. they looked like clowns when they did handle a firearm. and as far as the Bible shooting went… you can see their feelings on that by watching other episodes on google video.
they covered the attempt to institute a course on “intelligent design” in public schools. their arguments were full of holes, and ignorance regarding the subject, so it was a weak episode.
