Wow. Powerful stuff, and one of my all time favorite Pink Floyd songs, too. Unfortunately, there are still too many who believe that Islam is a beautiful religion of peace that has been temporarily “hijacked” by dangerous fundamentalists.
When we finally get this in our collective heads that this is a religious war, then and only then will we be able to move forward to victory. Until then, we are like the doctor who prescribes pain relivers as the solution to a brain tumor.
Bashman, you rock! You have hit the nail on the head - these poor buggers are nothing like us - because of a religion of hatred and war. It turns their lives into a misery of fear, subjugation and hopelessness. It is no wonder many of them want to die for their religion - what have they got to live for???
Well, many of us have plenty to live for, and a way of life that we need to protect from this tyranny. So let’s pray that those who can make decisions toward winning this idealogical war will stop drinking the koolaid and believing this will go away - Ronnie was right - eat us it will if we ignore or appease it.
“Until then, we are like the doctor who prescribes pain relivers as the solution to a brain tumor.” Either that or like giving someone mouth-to-mouth for being shot in the neck.
