My Online Store Goes Live
10.23.07
So Jonas and I finally got our hunting store good and live. Only took a year to get everything in gear. But most the time goes into adding products. I’ve got just under 400 products on there now, and we carry about 2,000. So products are added all the time.
And just in case anyone is interested and living in a true state. I can sell you an M-249 SAW, If you want to spend around 7 grand.

Maybe a little too similar to the Sportsman’s Guide logo? I mean, I’ll still buy stuff from you, but … er …
If the M-249 SAW is full-auto (there’s no civvie version, right?), you’d be a complete fool to sell it—you can almost watch them appreciate in value before your eyes.
# October 24th, 2007 at 12:10 pmNah, they use a whitetail and a box, we use an elk and an oval. In the end, alot of sporting goods outfitters have similar logos.
As far as the SAW, I’m not sure how many my supplier has, but they did list it in their catalog. But DANG. I know full auto’s fetch alot, but not that much. The gun shop here in town sells fully suppressed, full auto MP-5’s for about 16K. He actually sells quite a few of em too. We got a lot of rich dudes per capita in this area.
I’ll talk to my supplier about the full auto capabilities.
# October 24th, 2007 at 12:16 pmI think coupled with the forest green and the fact that they are both called “Sportmens,” even though they are different animals, makes them a bit too close for comfort.
I know there’s only so much hunting iconography one can use—I mean, a deer/elk would be my first pick as well—but perhaps if you used a different sort of game animal, something un-deerlike, it would set you apart. I’ve taken the liberty of designing you a new logo
# October 24th, 2007 at 12:48 pmGee thanks. I mean… I do like to shoot cans. I guess that includes mexi-cans.
yea, but as far as SEO goes, its good to have a good key word like sportsmans in yer name. which is why we went with it. Just had a feller from Texas buy 300 bucks worth of ammo. He’s prolly hunting him some “cans”.
# October 24th, 2007 at 12:53 pmNext time I need some goodies I’ll check you out before I hop over to the Guide (you’d be surprised how much stuff a dude in the city can want from a hunting supply company).
# October 24th, 2007 at 1:08 pmThanks man. Not to bash my own biz, but Guide has some prices that I can’t even match on a few things.
Anyways, if there’s ever somethin yer interested in and dont see, just gimme a holler. I’m on the other end of that live chat button. I can get a ton of stuff, I just gotta add it gradually.
# October 24th, 2007 at 1:11 pmWill do.
