Extreme Ignorance

12.28.07

I got a chuckle out of this “Bible Scholar”, after finding a incoming link from Extreme Mortman. It’s about Huckabee committing “murder” in the fields of Iowa, and breaking the 6th Commandment. People are such cutie pies.

He wasn’t successful at murdering, but did you see the Tribune article claiming that he attempted to take out the press corps?

    Idiot.

Personally while I can see wanting to take advantage of good conditions in prime pheasant country and get a break from the campaign while you’re at it, I think the whole “Take the press hunting” schtick is about as feeble and thinly-veiled as the Huckster himself. I mean seriously, if he was any kind of hunter he wouldn’t have packed up after the first bird. Iowa’s daily bag limit is 3 roosters, afterall.

Can anyone else please bi.tch some more about tiddly crap that Huckabee does? Amazing.

Well.. you know what all the belly achin means, right?

    they’re ascared.

Just wondering… these idiots that say hunting is murder, wonder what they had/having for dinner. Bet it ain’t all Veg!

And this guy votes! I wonder if he expects the next president to interpret the constitution like he interprets the Bible.

There is nothing really wrong with the Bible or our Founding Document. Man is the negative factor w/ twisting of Our Truths and Freedoms.

Have my eye on the Huckster. [Again, let's pray for a president that does not come to us a LIB in Conservative clothing].

Just a factor in point: Huckabee Seeks to Restrict Dual Citizenship [See Newsmax.com]

Yes, I am a fairtax proponent.

  7. Gravatar Stevil Says

Suckabee is a fraud, let’s hope this huckster doesn’t de-rail the GOP’s chances by getting the nomination… it’s not like it was going to be easy in the first place.

    Oh yeah, Happy New Year!

  8. Gravatar Chad Says

Stevil - If yer calling Huckabee a fraud on hunting… then I’d be surprised.

Secondly, what exactly is Huckabee a fraud on, and please cite your sources, thanks!

  9. Gravatar JJ Says

Stevil is E-vil. ooOOoo look, I can make a funny name-rhyme too.

That commie Maverick owner Rend-active prop compares himself to Chuck Norris. I doubt Chuck would indorse anyone that is not genuine.

Romney looks good, but I don’t like Mormons. They are annoying like Jehovah’s and those phony Global Warming extortionists. But the Huck like Chuck may kick the IRS’s ass once and for all.

This poor boy gets tired of given up good tire and food money all year to wait for it to come back while I was hungry and flat.

    But we’ll see. Fairtax.org!

No not hunting — not that I know of, although taking a gaggle of the press on a hunt is kinda’ lame almost as lame as his latest press conference IMHO. He’s a fraud as a Conservative, a few examples, I’m sure you can find many more…

During his years in Little Rock, Huckabee raised the state’s sales tax by 37%, the gas tax by 16% and the cigarette tax by 103% (all fall particularly hard on the poor). State spending went up a staggering 65.3% — three times the inflation rate. The state’s workforce grew by 20% and Arkansas’ general obligation debt increased $1 billion.

Huckabee is a sucker for social spending. In April 2006, he raised the state’s minimum wage from $5.15 to $6.25 an hour, levying yet another tax on businesses and consumers — one that destroys entry-level jobs.

Huckabee supports a mandatory cap on the release of greenhouse gases. “It goes to the moral issue,” the governor intones. “We have a responsibility to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions….” This, even though he’s unsure that C0-2 emissions actually have anything to do with global warming. “But whether there is or there isn’t (a human factor in climate change) , it doesn’t release us from the responsibility to be good stewards of the environment…. It’s a spiritual issue. The earth belongs to God. I have no right to destroy it.”

When there was a bill before the Arkansas legislature to require proof of citizenship to vote and to cut off most government services to illegals, Huckabee did a passable impression of Linda Chavez, claiming the measure “inflames those who are racists and bigots and makes them think there’s a real problem. But there’s not.”

In a 2003 radio address, Huckabee told the citizens of Arkansas: “I looked into the eyes of immigrant Mexican children and was moved. These children often don’t have enough to eat, don’t have good clothes and don’t have a dry place to sleep… And I was reminded we can give something back by offering a helping hand to those who follow the American dream along Interstate 30 and Interstate 40 into Arkansas.” Like Hillary, he’s doing it for the kids — and, in the process, throwing away the best issue the Republican Party will have next year.

I could go on and on and on… this guy is a faker.

  12. Gravatar Stevil Says

    …mostly.

Of course should he win the nomination, I will begrudgingly support him.

  13. Gravatar Stevil Says

JJ it already IS a name rhyme.

  14. Gravatar Stevil Says

Anyhew, what did I miss… when did you two get on board will Huckabee? I had a sense you guys were more in the Thompson camp… I guess I need to pay more attention over here.

  15. Gravatar JJ Says

Dude, Stevil, you need to do better than that. Maybe “MayDay JJ” or Gay Jay” or somethin’ man! That was weaksauce. Anywho, I have been all over the place when it comes to supporting a candidate. I like many things about Huckabee and I dislike some things about Huckabee. I like things about Thompson, Paul, and Romney, but there are things I dislike.

I think Guav said it best when he said, there will never be a candidate that you will 100% agree with. You have to look at their record on the issues. GO over to http://www.ontheissues.com and see what the candidates have said and done in the past.

Honestly, I wish my boy Tancredo was still running.

  16. Gravatar Stevil Says

I did consider Jay Gay bit decided it was too sophomoric… even for me.

Tancredo was outstanding, just not a great orator, or particularly “Presidential”.

I’ve spent a lot of time at ontheissues.com BUT I keep finding sources of information that conflicts/contradicts their findings, I must confess to a very irrational take on Huckabee… he give’s off a slimy vibe, my gut check says I don’t trust him, I get an overwhelming sense of duplicity from him.

That aside, there really are no stand-out’s in the GOP pack, that in itself at one of the most critical junctures in US history I find horribly alarming. Thompson promised so much — maybe I was projecting — and delivered less, sigh… it’s going to be an interesting year that’s for sure.

  17. Gravatar JJ Says

Tancredo was outstanding, just not a great orator, or particularly “Presidential”.

And you think Ron Paul is? I love Ron Paul, but the man is painful to listen to. He sounds like Elmer Fudd when he talks. He studders, he speaks before his brain can catch up, and he butchers the English language much like ole’ Bush.

  18. Gravatar Stevil Says

No Ron Paul is not either, nor are any of them particularly “Presidential”. If Ron Paul had the oratory ability of Reagan, the looks of Romney and the charisma of Obama he’d be a lock. I do like Duncan Hunter a great deal but… well he’s not a mainstream candidate either.

  19. Gravatar Stevil Says

When I say a lock, I mean for me… he’s still way-out there with some of his fringier views for the mainstream voter.
