Man Kills Bear With Stick
10.15.08A Canadian man was walkin his dogs when he was attacked by a sow bear with her cubs. After the initial mauling, He beat her to death with a good size stick.
“She tore into my skull at the back of my head, moved over and bit me on the left side of my body, on my ribs and left arm.”

Wise up, folks. When you’re in bear country, always carry a sidearm. Unless of course, you just hate your life, and are looking for a good mauling, then by all means go ahead.

Needing a reason to justify carrying a gun is lame. FYI all of B.C. is potential bear country, and in the interior its mostly black bear so not too much threat. Don;t let your ignorance get the best of you.

I’m familiar with having bear country outside the front door. But the odds of walking out your front door into a sow and her cubs, is 90% less likely to happen, than if you were walking in the woods, which is her front porch. So your argument is weak.
Needing a reason to justify carrying a gun is lame? Along that line of argument, then buckling up in yer truck is lame too. Whatever makes you feel cool is fine by me.
