The Price Of Complacency
01.11.09It’s important to recognize the cost that our forefathers paid. Our culture and country has become complacent with what we have, and what we expect from our government. Total Depravity has taught us something very important, on what we as human beings are capable of.
I thought about our current situation in America, and the freedoms we enjoy. Are we not blessed, by the fruits of the blood of our founding fathers? No one understands tyranny and oppression as somebody who has escaped from it. It is important that we are reminded of the cost of freedom, and the importance to remain ever vigilant.
As our country ages, we face a more dangerous threat to our simple freedoms that you and I take for granted on a daily basis. I encourage you to watch this series, and realize what we are capable of. You and I cannot understand the struggle and hardship that an average North Korean civilian struggles with. We’ve been granted a blessing from God, and there is no other way of looking at it.
I encourage you to watch this documentary and consider the importance of preserving your most basic freedoms.
Great sermon from John MacArthur on Total Depravity. I have always liked MacArthur’s teaching.
