911 Is Worthless

05.06.2008

Remember, when possible death could by any second, police are only minutes away. Check out this video and audio of a Columbus, Ohio store owner who found an intruder and called 911. The operator is a complete tool. I keep the Sheriff’s number stored in my phone, as I’ll never dial 911.

Clinton On Obama and Guns

05.05.2008

Hillary recently sent this mailer out to everyone in Indiana. Pretty much the pot calling the kettle black.
Obama Against Guns

The piece is particularly striking coming from Clinton, who has been seen for most of her career as a firm advocate of gun control, but more recently has emerged — without dramatically shifting her stance on specific issues — as a defender of the Second Amendment who fondly recalled being taught to shoot by her grandfather in Scranton.

Passenger Had A Box Cutter

02.21.2008

Apparently this Jack Hole hasn’t been through airport security before, or he might have known that security has the magic of xray vision goggles.

February 20, 2008
TAMPA - A 21-year-old Clearwater man was arrested at Tampa International Airport this weekend after security personnel found a box cutter in a hollowed-out book, authorities said.box cutter

If convicted, Baines faces up to 10 years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine for a federal charge of attempting to board an airplane with a concealed dangerous weapon. He is currently serving a 30 day sentence after pleading guilty Monday to a state misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed weapon.

This kid is an idiot. But I would have preferred him be able to board, only to have every other passenger armed with the same or better. Because it would only happen a few times, before these bad guys would learn. Don’t mess around on a airplane. If only the wolves knew that people didn’t mess around, attacks would be more sparse.

I’ve been reading all over the net about peoples experiences with airport security. They bitch and moan about it, but top it off with a “It’s so great that America is doing it’s job keeping me safe”.

1. America may have the responsibility of protection against enemies foreign and domestic, but removing your right to self defense is not one of them.

2. Even with America working to protect you, in the end it is still your sole responsibility to take care of yourself. Not Uncle Sams. Not the POH-leese. You. Take care of your own sorry ass. That means using the tools provided (read weapons).

Another School Shooting, More To Follow

02.15.2008

With every “Gun Free Zone” school shooting, I tell people there will be more. It is a fad now, and I encourage every Senator, Governor, Congressman to work toward permitting Concealed Carry on Campus’ in their state. I am writing Idaho’s leaders.

6 Dead In N. Illinois University Massacre

Gunman Killed Six, Then Himself On Stage In Front Of Panicked Students
DEKALB, Ill. (AP) - If there is such a dk.jpgthing as a profile of a mass murderer, Stephen Kazmierczak didn’t fit it: outstanding student, engaging, polite and industrious, with what looked like a bright future in the criminal justice field.

And yet on Thursday, the 27-year-old Kazmierczak, armed with three handguns and a brand-new pump-action shotgun he had carried onto campus in a guitar case, stepped from behind a screen on the stage of a lecture hall at Northern Illinois University and opened fire on a geology class. He killed five students before committing suicide.

6 Dead After Gunfire at Missouri Meeting

02.08.2008

KIRKWOOD, Mo. (AP) - A gunman with a history of acrimony against civic leaders stormed City Hall during a council meeting Thursday night, killing two police officers and three city officials before law enforcers fatally shot him, authorities said. The mayor was critically injured in the rampage.

The victims at the meeting in suburban St. Louis were killed after the gunman rushed the council chambers and began firing as he yelled “Shoot the mayor!” according to St. Louis County Police spokeswoman Tracy Panus. Two people were wounded before Kirkwood police fatally shot him, she said.

Once again, a bunch of disarmed citizens lose to the armed criminal.

My favorite line of the whole article.

“They’re all just so sad, shocked by this,” said Father Robert Osborne of St. Peter Catholic Church. “This doesn’t happen in Kirkwood.”

This doesn’t happen in Kirkwood. This… does not happen in Kirkwood. Well… I dunno “father”. Looks like it happened to me. When will people pull their heads out of their asses, and understand that this happens anywhere, and everywhere.

Much like Smokey the Bear has his motto… Mine to you is… “Only you can prevent a slaughter”.

Go get your carry permit. You’re next.

Man, 93, Shoots Violent Robber

07.27.2007

EL DORADO, Ark. (AP) - An elderly man beaten unconscious by an assailant wielding a soda can awoke and shot the man during an attempted robbery, police said.

Willie Lee Hill, 93, told police he saw the robber while in his bedroom Wednesday night. Hill confronted the man and was struck at least 50 times, police said. He was knocked unconscious.

Covered in blood, Hill regained consciousness a short time later and pulled a .38-caliber handgun on his attacker. The suspect, Douglas B. Williams Jr., saw the gun and charged the man, who fired a bullet that struck Williams in the throat, police said.

“I got what I deserved,” Williams, 24, told police when they arrived, officers said. Investigators reported finding, among other items, a Craftsman drill bit set, three pocket knives and two hearing aids inside his pockets.

Paramedics took Hill and Williams to the Medical Center of South Arkansas for treatment. Doctors sent Williams to the Louisiana State University Medical Center at Shreveport, where he was listed in critical condition Friday.

Employees at the Medical Center of South Arkansas refused to give Hill’s condition or say if he’d been discharged from the hospital Friday, citing medical privacy laws.

Police plan to charge Williams with residential burglary, second- degree battery, theft of property and theft by receiving.

Retired Marine, 71, Shoots Robbers, Kills 1

06.29.2007

The 71-year-old retired Marine who opened fire on two robbers at a Plantation sub shop late Wednesday, killing one and critically wounding the other, is described as a former pilot for two presidents. ”He’s in great shape,” Wesley White said of his longtime friend, John Lovell. “He doesn’t drink, he doesn’t smoke, he works out every day.”

Lovell was a man of action Wednesday night. According to Plantation police, two masked gunmen came into the Subway at 1949 N. Pine Island Rd. just after 11 p.m. There was a lone diner — Lovell, who was finishing his meal. After robbing the cashier, the two men attempted to shove Lovell into a bathroom and rob him as well. They got his money. But then Lovell pulled his handgun, opened fire, shooting one of the thieves in the head and chest and the other in the head. Read the rest of this entry »

Kaine Wary Of Guns On Campus

06.14.2007

KaineFriday, June 01, 2007
Virginia Gov. Timothy M. Kaine said he will await the findings of a panel studying the Virginia Tech shootings before considering whether to allow people with gun permits to carry firearms on college campuses.

Go ahead and study real hard. Use that extremely educated brain, and see if you can find the answer. If only we could resurrect the genius Albert Einstein, maybe he could discover the answer.

The best part of this article!!!

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence contends that having armed students at Norris Hall probably would have only made matters worse by putting unarmed students in a crossfire with Cho.

I love the Brady Campaign. I agree, Sarah. Much better to have 32 dead students total, then to have a student get hit in a crossfire resulting in only 5 deaths total. Who needs Albert Einstein when this broad is offering her profound wisdom for free.
