The queers at Code Pink were out numbered yesterday by flag waving patriots in Berkley, CA, the home of the “peace movement” and one of the most liberal, anti-military cities in the entire nation.
On Wednesday, October 17, 2007 Move America Forward organized a rally that attracted hundreds upon hundreds of pro-troop supporters who gathered in Berkeley to counter anti-war protesters from Code Pink. Code Pink has been engaged in a 3-week campaign to “shut down” the U.S. Marine Recruiting Center in Berkeley, including vandalizing and defacing the recruiting office, harassing the the Marines and calling them “traitors” and “liars” and “murderers.”
However, yesterday the far-left anti-military protesters got crushed on their own home turf! As the Contra Costa Times reported, “Flag-waving demonstrators far outnumbered a group of peace advocates who were protesting a U.S. Marine Corps recruiting center in downtown on Wednesday.”

By your way, I’ve often traveled
Magic mother of the pearl
Watched your mysteries unravel
While each foamy wave uncurled
Neath’ my soles the sands of freedom
Fertile valleys, mountains high
Blistered by the blazing sunshine
Mellowed by the moonlight night
Mighty measure of the Maker
With your open arms unfurled
America,you are my woman
America,you are my world
Many worlds and dreams I’ve traveled
Sliding softly through the night
Scanned through silicones and cycles
Mirrored low your emerald life
When my days on earth return to
Dust from whence my body weighs
Will my soul could always carry
Where the Saint’s first flight was made
Again. For awhile now, Google has been failing to decorate their logo in observance of Veterans day. This last Veterans day has been the final straw for many. Myself included. Chad S. over at 3G made a post about it, and it helped kick start me as well.
I am cutting Google out of my daily usage. No more gmail, google toolbar, google images, google videos, and google searching. They don’t support my right to self defense through owner ship of guns, or my right to enjoy the sport of hunting, or my right to use their services, while remaining a politically unbiased company. In other words… they’re a bunch of commies, and the only good commie is a dead commie. Read the rest of this entry »
The Peoples Cube posted this awesome video. A little tricky at first, but very well done. Hattip goes out to our man JJ. He posted it over at 3G.

Listen to FDR’s December 7th Speech. (Requires Realplayer)
FDR’s Day of Infamy Speech
“Yesterday, December 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its Government and its Emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific. Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu, the Japanese Ambassador to the United States and his colleague delivered to the Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.
It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time the Japanese Government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.
The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.
Yesterday the Japanese Government also launched an attack against Malaya. Last night Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong. Last night Japanese forces attacked Guam. Last night Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands. Last night the Japanese attacked Wake Island. This morning the Japanese attacked Midway Island.
Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.
As Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.
Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us. No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.
I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.
Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory and our interests are in grave danger.
With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounded determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God.
I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December seventh, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire.”
Today is the day where we celebrate and appreciate the veterans of past and present, who have provided for us, the freedoms we have today. There is nothing we can ever do to repay them. So, we shall forever show them our respect and love. Thanks guys. I salute you.

The average age of the military man is 19 years. He is a short haired, tight-muscled kid who, under normal circumstances is considered by society as half man, half boy. Not yet dry behind the ears, not old enough to buy a beer, but old enough to die for his country. He never really cared much for work and he would rather wax his own car than wash his father’s; but he has never collected unemployment either.
He’s a recent High School graduate; he was probably an average student, pursued some form of sport activities, drives a ten year old jalopy, and has a steady girlfriend that either broke up with him when he left, or swears to be waiting when he returns from half a world away. He listens to rock and roll or hip-hop or rap or jazz or swing and 155mm howitzer. He is 10 or 15 pounds lighter now than when he was at home because he is working or fighting from before dawn to well after dusk. Read the rest of this entry »

Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve.
George W. Bush
Freedom itself was attacked this morning by a faceless coward, and freedom will be defended.
George W. Bush
The terrorists are fighting freedom with all their cunning and cruelty because freedom is their greatest fear - and they should be afraid, because freedom is on the march.
George W. Bush
Found a great peice written by Peter Ferrarra on America and terrorism. He’s an associate professor of law at the George Mason University School of Law.
You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper there an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.
So I just thought I would write to let them know what an American is, so they would know when they found one.
An American is English…or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani, or Afghan.
An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them choose.
An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.
An American is from the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes the God-given right of each man and woman to the pursuit of happiness.
An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need. When Afghanistan was overrun by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country. As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan.
An American does not have to obey the mad ravings of ignorant, ungodly cruel, old men. American men will not be fooled into giving up their lives to kill innocent people, so that these foolish old men may hold on to power. American women are free to show their beautiful faces to the world, as each of them choose.
An American is free to criticize his government’s officials when they are wrong, in his or her own opinion. Then he is free to replace them, by majority vote.
Americans welcome people from all lands, all cultures, all religions, because they are not afraid. They are not afraid that their history, their religion, their beliefs, will be overrun, or forgotten. That is because they know they are free to hold to their religion, their beliefs, their history, as each of them choose.
And just as Americans welcome all, they enjoy the best that everyone has to bring, from all over the world. The best science, the best technology, the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best athletes.
Americans welcome the best, but they also welcome the least. The nation symbol of America welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed.
These in fact are the people who built America. Many of them were working in the twin towers on the morning of September 11, earning a better life for their families.
So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo and Stalin and Mao Tse-Tung, and every bloodthirsty tyrant in the history of the world.
But in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.
So look around you. You may find more Americans in your land than you thought were there. One day they will rise up and overthrow the old, ignorant, tired tyrants that trouble too many lands. Then those lands too will join the community of free and prosperous nations.
And America will welcome them.
Hattip: Pam
Today is America’s 229th birthday. God bless her. I’m gonna repost last years 4th of July post.
If you were to ask me why I love her, it might take me a bit before I could answer. I would have to think of all the many reasons, enough to write a book about it. There’s the freedom of democracy, the prusuit of happiness, the freedom of religion… a country founded on God’s principles. It’s one thing that will always get my utmost respect, America. I will never take my freedoms for granted. I will never take for granted, the fighting men who gave their lives for my freedom. I truley believe that we are a nation under God. That Gods hand guides us, and made us the greatest nation on Earth in such a short matter of time.
You’re a grand old flag.
You’re a high-flying flag.
And forever in peace may you wave. You’re the emblem of the land I love,
the home of the free and the brave!Every heart beats true for the red, white, and blue.
Where there’s never a boast or brag!
But should old acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on that Grand Old Flag!
Never forget the pains that were taken to ensure your freedoms. Never forget the fightin’ men on the front lines. The men who responded courageously to the call of duty.
I think one of my hero’s said it best. He said it best for me, and many a proud American. So I’m just gonna let the Duke do the rest of the talkin’ for me.
