Just got in from tonites event. My back is killin’ me from standing so long. This year was CDA’s best year ever. Record attendance, of over 200 people, with one gun givin’ away for every ten people.

Sadly enough, I didn’t win the Springfield .45 1911 that I was tryin’ for. Turns out the lady sittin’ at our table, won both the game raffle guns, from the booth I was working. In this picture here, I’d like to point out that the older feller lookin’ at the .45, is a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. He’s the first CMH recipient, that I have ever met, and it was a great honor.

Who here can guess what shirt I’m wearin under my plaid button-up?

My Old Man had a blast tonite. He went crazy and pretty much bought most every framed print, of deer scene’s and retreiver dogs, and an awesome huge rug, with a scene of an old cabin that reminds me of The Fox and the Hound. All those he won in the silent auction, save for one.

And this is where it got wild.

Celebratin’ Independence

07.05.2004

We had a great time shooting fireworks at eachother and scalding ourselves this 4th! Melted hair, missing eyebrows, potential forest fires, threat of permanent blindness…. these are all apart of our family 4th. Actually… we were quite safe, and didn’t come near any of those catastrophes listed. Although… it would have made for a good story. (which I still have to tell you the 2…. but later) Disclaimer: Everything that is seen in these photos, was done by professionals in a closed course. We will not be held responsible if you try to do the same thing, and burn your town to ashes. Surgeon Generals Warning: Fireworks are known to the state of Idaho to cause cancer, if you ingest the black powder on the inside of at least 25 bloomers. If you accidentaly swallow the black powder of about 25 bloomers, be sure to consult your physician immediately. If you only swallow about 24, don’t worry. You’ll be fine.

Goodbye Canyonero

05.31.2004

This is what I did this memorial day, I bought me a ‘95 F-250 Super Turbo Diesel Extended Cab 4×4!

And here’s what happened. Jareds new in town and he needs himself a new rig. My old man would like a new one as well for the Billiard biz. Jared asks me along for the ride, and I oblige. We stop in the car lot near Fred Meyers, and browse the Fords. When my dad and Jared spot a nice 2003 F-350. Lifted with big ol’ tires and everything. So we take it for a test drive and its nice so my dad goes ahead and gets it. Back in the lot, I happen to walk by this trade in. So I take it for a test drive, and love it. When we get back, my dad agrees to cover the down till I can sell the canyonero and pay him back. So me and my dad drive away with new rigs. I sure am gonna miss the airhorns. I think I’ll keep the POW/MIA mud flaps though. Those are my pride and joy. But I’m gonna pull the tires off the canyonero and slap them on the Magnum, and eventually I’m gonna need new rims. These current ones are a joke.
